What will the course cover?

This course covers all aspects of creation and maintenance of a spreadsheet, including formula creation and using common Excel functions.

Who is the course for?

This course is for a new or self-taught user of Microsoft Excel.

What skills, knowledge or experience do I need to start this course?

You do not need any previous knowledge of Excel, but you should have basic Windows, keyboard and mouse skills.

What should I be able to do by the end of the course?

After the course you will be able to: - Create and maintain spreadsheets - Enter a range of data types and formulas - Select a cell/range of cells - Copy and fill data in a worksheet - Format cells - Adjust the size of columns and rows - Create and edit formulae - Format and print worksheets - Perform list management tasks

How is the course organised?

This is a 1 day course and the tutor will go through the features of Excel on screen. You will be given time to practice using the application through set exercises.

How will my progress be assessed?

Continuous assessment by the tutor and a certificate of attendance.
