What will the course cover?

This course covers areas of Excel to enable you to gain the skill sets necessary for calculating data using functions and formulas, sorting and filtering data, using PivotTables and Pivot Charts for analysing data, and customizing workbooks.

Who is the course for?

This intermediate course will build on your basic Excel skills and show you more complex formulae, linking data and using sort and filter techniques.

What skills, knowledge or experience do I need to start this course?

Before starting this course, students are recommended to have taken Excel 2010 Level 1 or have equivalent knowledge.

What should I be able to do by the end of the course?

After the course you will be able to: - use templates to create consistency in your workbooks - use Logical and Lookup functions - use Names and Labels - use links for more efficient workbooks - apply filters and sort your data more quickly - create a simple Pivot Table and Pivot Chart

How is the course organised?

This is a 1 day course and the tutor will go through the features of Excel on screen. You will be given time to practice using the application through set exercises.

How will my progress be assessed?

Continuous assessment by the tutor and a certificate of attendance.
