First Aid Kit Action Planning Resuscitation Treatment of an unconscious casualty Choking Asthma Diabetes Head Injuries Epilepsy Seizures (including febrile convulsions) Wounds and bleeding Burns Sprains Strains and Fractures Poisoning Childhood conditions (e.g. meningitis, croup, sickle cell)

Who is the course for?

This paediatric first aid course meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation stage statutort framework. This course is for people working with younger children - those up to 8 years old - or working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education.

What skills, knowledge or experience do I need to start this course?

None as all is given on the course

What should I be able to do by the end of the course?

Provide First Aid to children up to 8 years of age.

How is the course organised?

Practical and theory sessions.

Read over the text book provided

Continous assessment by trainer
