Is it possible to view art not just as objects having a practical use or purpose but as a deeper expression of consciousness? This course will explore the link between art and different aspects of consciousness and the unconscious. Where do dreams come from and the world of images? For millennia humans have expressed art from the beginnings of the hand print on the cave wall. What is this trying to communicate? You will have plenty of opportunity to discover your own thoughts and insights and ask what it means for you.
Anyone with an interest in art, consciousness, the sub or unconscious, psychology and archetypes, dream work and the unexplained, religious experience or spirituality, visualisation and the imagination.
None, just an open and intriguing mind.
Participants should be able to have a broader understanding of both art and consciousness and be able to make at least one meaningful link to the topic in their own life.
This is a five-week course which will look at a different aspect of art with consciousness each week.
Optional to keep a journal of thoughts and reflections and finding a work of art that is meaningful to you.
Each week there will be a recap on the previous week and any issues or questions will be shared either with the group or with tutor.
This course can open thoughts and courses across the board from psychology to spirituality, from art and creativity to writing. You may also find that your imagination is developed, and creative writing courses are appealing and made easier.
There are no other costs.
Support from the tutor is available via email.
