What will the course cover?

Our relationship to place, to where we live and have lived, our environments from past and present which are often very different, is important in order to create a sense of connection. This is a creative, practical, imaginative and reflective course where you will be the curator of your own palace of memories from your experiences of places, environment, people, images/ art / pictures you’ve seen through your life. Through this you will be able to create a greater picture of meaning for your life, altering perceptions and giving you fresh insight into your own life.

Who is the course for?

Anyone with an interest in reflecting on life experiences, places, reflective writing, creative writing, curating, art, visual language, history, photography, finding meaning and purpose as well as consciousness and mindfulness.

What skills, knowledge or experience do I need to start this course?

None - just a spark of curiosity or interest in finding more meaning and purpose in life, gaining confidence and skills.

What should I be able to do by the end of the course?

By the end of the course you will have a different and meaningful perception on your life, and be able to understand your role/ purpose better. Your writing, visual and observational and I.T skills will be improved.

How is the course organised?

Over five weeks, you will look at different themes as well as different time periods in your life. There will be plenty of time for discussion and group work too

What extra study or practice is expected outside of the class?

This is optional and non compulsory, but some writing exercises, gathering photos or images, letters, and looking into some history of your local place where you live

How will my progress be assessed?

Each week we will have a recap on the previous week to refresh your memory. There will be a chance each week to reflect on what each learner has gathered together.

What can I expect to go on to after this course?

Create similar incentives with your friends/ family, children. Attend local walks and tours with a similar sense of curating a local relationship to place.
