Affirmations can be effective on overcoming negative thought patterns and their effects on many areas of life

Who is the course for?

Anyone who wants to develop the skills of using affirmations in their daily life

What skills, knowledge or experience do I need to start this course?

No previous knowledge needed

What should I be able to do by the end of the course?

- Understand the negative thought processes which influence your thinking and behavior - - Start the process of letting go of difficult emotions such as envy, resentment, distrust and revenge - - Develop affirmations to gain more control of your mind, start to forgive and experience love and kindness for self and others - - Understand how affirmations can be applied in relationships, at work , and in building on health and happiness

How is the course organised?

The course is informative, experiential and enjoyable and participants will take part in a range of activities to help them build on their skills

What extra study or practice is expected outside of the class?

There is no study outside the class but a list of relevant sources of further information will be provided for those who wish to pursue further study

How will my progress be assessed?

There will be a brief self-assessment exercise at the beginning and end of the course

What can I expect to go on to after this course?

Participants may want to continue their studies on other relevant topics such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness or Emotional Intelligence

The college provides a range of study support depending on the need and the tutor will also provide support during the class where this is possible and as much of the learning is in group work, students are encouraged to share their skills and help each other
