What will the course cover?

Greece is one of the top travel destinations worldwide both for its history but also island life and leisure. However, a completely different language with a complicated looking alphabet can seem daunting. This workshop will look into the best not-to-miss Greek destinations, offering inside tips and information on a variety of areas.

Who is the course for?

Adult students who are interested in Greek culture, tourism and travelling! An excellent way to plan your next trip to Greece too.

What skills, knowledge or experience do I need to start this course?

No prior skills, knowledge or experience are needed. The course will be delivered in English and will include audio and visual sources.

What should I be able to do by the end of the course?

The students will gain an understanding of Greece as a location, look into the different areas of the country and the different options one has to visit them.

How is the course organised?

This workshop will look into the best not-to-miss Greek destinations, offering inside tips and information on a variety of areas.

What extra study or practice is expected outside of the class?

No extra study or practice outside of the class is expected.

How will my progress be assessed?

By the student’s contribution in class.

What can I expect to go on to after this course?

Students might like to extend their understanding of Greek culture, by attending different daily workshops in an area of their particular interest: Greek mythology, cuisine or dancing! Students might choose to attend a short course in Greek culture: ‘Beauty in Ancient Greece’, which will discuss the ideals of beauty and craftsmanship and ‘Temples in Ancient Greece: Acropolis of Athens’, which will examine the different phases and the meaning of the temples, buildings and altars in the Acropolis Hill.

Are there any other costs and what do I need to bring?

No other costs are expected. A notepad and pen is suggested for the students who would like to take notes.
