What will the course cover?

A range of warm up and aerobic exercises, muscle strengthening using wieghts. Relaxation

Who is the course for?

Anyone who is interested in working without any pressure or impact on their bodies. If you are an arthritis sufferer, this class will enable you to exercise without causing pain in your affected joints.

What skills, knowledge or experience do I need to start this course?

You don't need to be able to swim but you should feel confident in the water.

What should I be able to do by the end of the course?

Feel stronger and toned.

How is the course organised?

One hour per week. You will wear a floatation belt which keeps you afloat in the deep water.

What extra study or practice is expected outside of the class?

None required but coupled with another class, your progress will be faster!

How will my progress be assessed?

Through self assessment and tutor feedback. Each participant will be required to complete a health questionnaire to determine suitability and to enable the tutor to set targets.

What can I expect to go on to after this course?

Progress within this class and/or enrol onto other Agewell classes.

Are there any other costs and what do I need to bring?

Bring your usual swimming gear. This class is pay-as-you-go so you will need to register at the Macbeth Centre and pay £5.00 then £2.50 everytime you go to class.
