What will the course cover?

In this practical workshop you will learn step-by-step to recreate a decorative image of traditional Indian Miniature Painting. After tracing on paper the image of your choice you will then build up colour layers with water-based paint and a very thin brush, burnishing the image after each layer and to finish you will create a decorative border.

Anyone interested in learning the basics of Indian miniature painting

None.

What should I be able to do by the end of the course?

Better understanding of the techniques involved in painting miniatures.

How is the course organised?

3 weekly sessions from 10.00 to 13.00 on August 10,17 and 24.

Are there any other costs and what do I need to bring?

Materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring your preferred thinnest brushes, watercolour paper and water-based paints.
