Who we are?
Our company was created by John Clifford in Liverpool. After graduating from college and changing careers three times, John found his passion. He decided to use his experience to help others in their decision-making processes.
He spent lots of time from job to job, trying to find his place in the work market. Finding the right balance between work, lifestyle, and achievement can be difficult.
This is why John got together with ontological coaching professionals and created Hfals. Founded in Liverpool, they soon started to offer their services online across the UK and Ireland. Now, the offer is open to the whole world. Hfals has trainees from Europe, the US, and Australia.
Our vision
We live in interesting times, and we understand this. Millennials and Centennials are facing challenges that their parents and grandparents didn’t encounter. Global warming, water scarcity, inflation, high cost of living and housing are some of them.
Previous generations had clearer career paths: school – college – work – postgraduate education – higher work position – retirement. But those times are over.
Now, young professionals must deal with larger costs of living, education, housing, etc. It’s become harder to satisfy the needs of an average family. These issues need to be addressed while getting oneself a position in the work market.
The 21st century’s careers challenge young professionals. Social media management, online advertisement, content marketing, sales, programming and IT, app buildout, and UX/UI development are some of these careers.
To thrive in these sectors, one needs more than a degree. Also, the path is not always clear. In an ever-changing market, trends are hard to predict. A highly paid position today can become obsolete in 30 years.
This is where we come in. Hfals offers support for professionals of all ages that want to become successful in their careers. By success, we don’t only mean financially retribution. A healthy work/life balance and a feeling of accomplishment are also important.
Our mission
We provide guidance and support to professionals worldwide. Our courses include grant writing, interview preparation, CRM and workflow software, preparation of visual presentations, and CV writing. We also help develop soft skills. These workshops include topics like self-knowledge, sociability, stress management, and relationship building.
Free introductory workshop for subscribers
Hfals offers subscribers an introductory course free of charge. The workshop is divided into three online sessions:
Introduction to career development. Attendees will get a general picture of the covered topics. This includes the difference between hard and soft skills, problems of today’s work market, and the trendiest careers.
Setting goals and designing a career plan. Students will learn the basic concepts of goal definition. They will work with real-life examples and analyse cases. There will be a space for two participants to present their goals and plans and receive feedback from classmates and coaches.
First steps out of college – CV preparation and the importance of interviews. This session is focused on job applications. We will go through the main factors to consider when applying for a job. Regarding the CV, we cover design tips and intuitive platforms, templates, and layouts. We analyse what skills to include on a resume and where to put them. Students will learn how to highlight their attributes. Coaches will analyse the importance of the interview. They will share guidelines regarding appropriate language and topics to cover.
